Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Launched in India

Xiaomi today launched Redmi Note 3 in India. The launch event was held in New Delhi. Redmi Note 3 will be available in two variants. One with 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal Storage and other with 3GB RAM and 32GB Internal Storage.  All other specifications are same for bothe the variants.

Price of the 2GB model is Rs. 9,999 and price of 3GB model is Rs. 11,999. It will be available in Dark Grey, Champagne Gold, and Silver colours, and it is the third product of Xiaomi in'Make in India' campaign. The first flash sale will start on 9th March 2PM on Amazon. Later it will be available on other online partners like flipkart, snapdeal and retail stores.

Redmi Note 3 was released in China in November 2015 with Mediatek processor. But Indian version of Note 3 is released with Snapdragon 650 processor.

It is a very beautiful looking phablet. It comes with a rear finger print scanner which can also be used to click pictures with front and back cameras. It has infrared sensor – with this you can use your phone as  a universal remote for devices in your home.

It has Readmode – to read books in the night without hurting your eyes.
 
It has Sunlight mode – with which you can see the contents on your phone even in a bright day light.

VIVO Xplay5 Elite with 6GB RAM launched

Chinese smartphone maker VIVO launched Xplay5 Elite and Xplay5 in China. Xplay5 Elite is world's first smartphone with 6GB RAM.

It comes with metal unibody and it has Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
 

The screen size is 5.43inches with QHD(2560x1440) resolution and is dual curved like Samsung galaxy S6 Edge phones with AMOLED Display. 
 

It is powered by 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 6GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU.
 

It has 128GB internal memory.
 

It has 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. It is loaded with 3,600mAh battery  and fingerprint scanner on the back. 

VIVO Xplay5 comes with same specifications as Xplay5 Elite except processor, RAM and GPU. It has Snapdragon 652 Processor, 4GB RAM and Adreno 510 GPU.

These phones will launch in China on 8th March. The price of Xplay5 Elite is  CNY 4,288(Approx. Rs. 44,000). and price of Xplay5 is CNY 3,698(Approx. Rs. 38000). Both the phones run VIVO’s FunTouch OS that is based on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The phones are 4G LTE-enabled. The availability details of these phones outside China are not yet known.

mPhone directors arrested for fraud

Just hours before the launch event of new brand mPhone, Kochi police arrested mPhone directors Anto Augustine and Josekutty Augustine on charge of financial fraud. Police arrested them claiming that Bank of Baroda had lodged a complaint against mPhone promoters. Police states that Augustine brothers cheated other banks too.

Rojy Augustine chairman of mPhone and the third Augustine brother feels that - it is suspicious that his brothers got arrested on launch day. Rojy Augustine alleged a conspiracy behind the arrests.

According to mPhone, it had invested 3500 crores and the firm has research and development center in Korea. They have given full page advertisements for mPhone launch in Kerala news papers. But none including the tech bloggers from Kerala have seen the phone.

We have seen so many controversies about freedom251 and now, after freedom251 this mPhone is turned as another scam with the arrest of the directors. We have to just wait and see what will happen with this kind of brands.

New smartphone brand - mPhone launching today

New Smartphone brand - mPhone (Mango Phone) is launching today in Indain Mobile Market. mPhone is from Kerala. It seems they are inspired from Apple iPhone.  mPhone is introducing first 3D smartphone in India.

Xiaomi launched Mi5 and Mi5 Pro

Xiaomi launched their flagship models  Mi5 and Mi5 Pro at MWC 2016. The Mi5 will be available from  March 1^st 2016 in China. Launch date in India was not announced yet. Mi5 is priced at RMB 1,999(approx. Rs. 21,000). Mi5 Pro is priced at RMB 2,699(approx. Rs. 28,000). The Mi5 will be availabe in black, white and gold colours.  

Mi5 comes with a 5.15-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass on the front. It is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 820 processor  and Adreno 530 GPU. It uses LPDDR4 RAM. It has 3GB of RAM and  32GB internal storage, But Mi5 Pro has a 4GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. Except these changes eveything else are same on both devices.

Mi5 devices support 4G+ or LTE Advanced with support for VoLTE. It can have two nano SIM cards. These devices are equipped  with Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with the MIUI 7 on top of it. These devices has 3000mAh non-removable battery. It has USB type C charging port. 

Mi5 comes with curved edges at back. It is 7.25mm thick and its weight is just 129grams. Additional features are NFC, front fignerprint scanner, Quich Charge 3.0 (which can charge 80% to 90% within just an hour).
